Inspired by many influences the Modern furniture forms are
predominantly stark,
geometrical and
without ornamentation.

Some may have a more sculptural approach and tend to make
use of the latest
technological advances such as moulded
plastics, foam padding and lightweight aluminium frames.

| Modern furniture displays the simplest of shapes,
curved,
vertical, horizontal and with feature angles. |
A stark, open feeling is required around the furniture piece to
give
it a more architectural, artistic feel.

| Colour is important. A bold spectrum of colour may be used
to intensify the item. |
Leathers or plainer, finer lined textures in textiles are normally
used.
