FRENCH STYLE

Lounge Room

Originally was a very tall, stark room, featuring very high ceilings . We used these high ceiling and accentuated with colour using a French feel with nice blues and gold panelling. We used blues and lemons back in the furniture with some nice French Louis pieces, Candelabra, clock and lamps above the classical fireplace. Subtle touches of European influences; iron-work and stone together with matching comfortable couches with French rolled arms and matching bolsters. The use of tassels also brings the room together, linking the couches with the gold walls.

ART DECO/NEO CLASSICAL STYLE

Family / Dining Room
Taking the classical Neo-Classical type pillars. Pillars have a slightly Georgian feel. Taking the pillars as a structural feature of the room. Enhancing them back onto the bar. Everyday usable leather couch. Matching and using the features of the iron work in the bar and the ornamentation bringing it back through the fabric. Enhancing pillar structure of the house and incorporating the pillar structure back onto the buffet. Domed mirror with round shape designed to enhance round shape of table and the rounded shape of the Neo Classical type chairs.

Entertainment Room
A classical Art Deco themed room. We have used a blank canvas. We've made up a padded wall using animal print fabrics in browns and gold's and subtle touched and variations of that. An animal leopard print together with art deco feature lamps sitting on classical solid pedestals making this into a lovely dressing room.

Showroom
Was originally a Butchers shop. Walls were pulled out and the existing brick walls were kept using them as a feature with a Roman ruins feel. Added architectural Roman urns to give feeling. We also used Art Deco furniture and Neo Classical pieces; an eclectic mix of products available in this retail shop. It is the bottom floor of Timeless Timber Gallery in Daylesford after the renovations. We kept the aesthetically pleasing features of the building and worked with them.

GEORGIAN STYLE

Home Front Entry

Changed the plasterwork in the back section of the room. Added a rounded dome type effect to the plasterwork and some corbels. Placed a nice sideboard into the entrance and a Venetian glass mirror, slightly different, adding to the mix. Using a very distinctive blue and a couple of classic French Louis chairs paired up either side to match in with walls. Classical round table featuring claw feet and classical Georgian type base. Very much a mix of classical Georgian feel with elements of French and Venetian mirrors. Grandeur!

MODERN STYLE

Family Room
Taken the open feeling of the roof-line and the nice colours of the trees and outlook. This room was based around a painting done by her husband. I have used those particular colours of the painting to bring tem back into the room. Placed the furniture on slight angles to pick up the roof-line and used appropriate colours of the trees etc bringing the outside in. Slightly colourful, but to match the existing painting thus keeping a modern, sleek, contemporary feel.

Lounge Area
Modern, contemporary room. We have used existing chairs and recovered them in more interesting fabrics. Coordinating different colours, lilacs, greens and soft mauves. Softening everything through the room. Enlarged the pelmets and changed things around. Using subtle changes of colour and carpet to give a very soft feel in the room. We've made small modern style furniture with a slight Neo Classical twist.

Day Spa Sitting Room
A modern room using an existing shop interior and turned this into a commercial Day Spa and beauty reception area. Has a very clean and modern feeling. Used a divider wall as shadow bookcase incorporating iron inserts with petitions between the shadow boxes. Very soft wall colours and matching lamps. We have used very vibrant cue ball chairs together with very modern, sleek looking sofas. Classic use of shapes such as squares and rounds. Making quite a unique waiting room; very colourful, very modern.

CLASSICAL VICTORIAN STYLE

Kitchen / Dining Area
Classical Victorian room with very high arched windows. Large colourful curtains with rounded valances accentuate the height of the ceilings. The themes of the exteriors of this historic building are carefully mirrored in the interior décor. Cris-cross of the ironwork of the window are mirrored in the cris-cross design of the chair backs. The rounded shapes of the windows are also matching the round tops of the chairs and the round table. Highly intricate, heavy details on the decorative ceiling highlight the flamboyant character of this room. Giftware is very plush, regal, colourful and vibrant.

VICTORIAN STYLE

Dressing Room
Existing room was a billiard room. We took out the walls either side of the fireplace and opened it up to turn it into a walk in dressing room and ensuite to existing bedroom next door. Creating a very classical Victorian look with mirrored wardrobes each side and a matching centrepiece dressing table with chairs either side. Use of classical Gold gilded mirrors and chandeliers is very Victorian. The dressing table is a beautifully shaped Victorian piece with a Florentine-Roccoco influence added to the piece to accentuate the shape of the furniture and the mirror and also the rounded shape of the plasterwork.
